Data Collection
Decaf collects no personal data. There are no user accounts, no sign-in, and no registration required to use the app.
Network Requests
Decaf fetches painting images and metadata directly from museum APIs over HTTPS. These requests are made to the servers of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Rijksmuseum, Art Institute of Chicago, National Gallery of Art, Smithsonian Institution, Cleveland Museum of Art, Walters Art Museum, and Belvedere Vienna. Decaf has no servers of its own.
Local Storage
Saved paintings and a record of recently viewed painting IDs are stored locally on your device only. This data never leaves your device.
Analytics and Advertising
Decaf contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind.
Third Parties
Decaf does not share any information with third parties because no information is collected in the first place.
